To be eligible for year end awards: Points are awarded on horse/rider combinations. A combination is eligible to compete for year end points in one timed, one English and one judged age group only. A rider may exhibit more than one horse/pony in a category for points. 8 & Under Timed- pony only Pony timed - 13 & under, pony only 13 & under timed - horse or pony Youth timed 18 & under - horse or pony Adult timed 19 & over Open English - all ages horse or pony
A. Be a paid member of the Black Hawk Creek Saddle Club
B. Purchase a permanent number (you will get 2 of the same) for $5.00
C. Completed a Year End Awards points designation card
D. Compete in at least 3 shows
Points for each show and total points will be available on the website prior to the next consecutive show date.

2011 winner was Merridith Williams. Craig Strein awards the Youth Horsemanship Buckle to Bethany Nelson on July 10, 2010. Horsemanship Buckle may be won only once per person.
Andrea Schrage, a freshman student at North Butler High was awarded the coveted Youth Horsemanship Buckle at the Black Hawk Creek Saddle Club Show, June 27,2009. Each year the large, engraved buckle has been donated by Craig and Terri Strein of the Silver Spur Saddle Shop. Handing Andrea her new hardware is Dave Sweeney, of Iowa Falls, saddle club board member and ringman at the show.
